Post-Parliament Lifespan
[edit]This article initially stated that he had the longest post-parliament lifespan of any former MP, "over 60 years". However, John Richard Anthony Oldfield survived his term as Labour MP for South East Essex by 68 years, dying in 1999 aged 100, having lost the seat at the 1931 General Election. I have rephrased the reference in this article to reflect this to read "one of the longest spans" and specified the time at 60 years and 117 days.Cloptonson (talk) 19:40, 20 October 2013 (UTC)
