Point of View:
[edit]I see that someone else from Hope Mills is into Wikipedia. It's good to see my home town has a page, but I think that the last paragraph is blatant civic boosterism. It should be rewritten or removed. Cbmclean (talk) 04:35, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah it was pretty much cut and pasted from the town's website. Go ahead and rework it if you wish. Dincher (talk) 00:30, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
- In retrospect, I feel bad about the haughty "should be rewritten or removed" demeanor of my original post, so I apologize. In actuality, I love the town of Hope Mills and it will always be my home. In fact, I personally think that last paragraph is pretty true, and Hope Mills is a good place to raise a family. I just think that the tone is just not quite "encyclopedic." Of course, Wikipedia isn't your old fashioned encyclopedia. As a side note, the red house (with the peaked roof) which you can see across the lake bed, just to the right of center, is my grandmothers house (I think anyway). I live in Wilson NC, which is just about an hour and 15minutes North on I-95. I go home fairly often, so if no one has supplied a picture of the newly refilled Hope Mills Lake by the time I go back, I will take a picture to post.Cbmclean (talk) 01:57, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
