- Comments from AJona1992
- According to this report, there is one WP:DABLINK
- Infobox: "Released" needs a {{start date}} template
- Infobox: "Length" needs a {{duration}} template
- Infobox: Unlink Australia
- "Hook Me Up" is a song by Australian duo The Veronicas for their second album, Hook Me Up. ---> "Hook Me Up" is a song recorded by Australian duo The Veronicas for their second album of the same name.
- Wikilink lead single, down-tempo, key, beat, samples, hook, chorus
- "lead single in late 2007 in Australia" - no, give us the date it was release
- "The Secret Life Of..." - and this was released on? (year of release)
- "dance-floor friendly sound" - sounds orish, if this is a quote then it needs to be presented as such
- Too many sentences have "the song" and "the single" - needs a variety
- The single was influenced the electropop songs of underground bands in Los Angeles, whose sound The Veronica's were keen to incorporate into their own music. - add "by" before "the electropop"
- The song is set in common time and in the key of G minor. with an energy filled fast tempo of 134 beats per minute - (1) what is up with the period after G minor? (2) "with an energy filled" sounds orish (3) fast tempo is not the same as downtempo, I hope you do know that. So this contradicts what other sentences say in the article. Which is it? downtempo or fast tempo (which needs to be changed to uptempo).
- Electropop (is wikilinked twice), Australia (is wikilinked twice, unlink them both)
- FN#7's sentence is missing a period
- "for the issue date 7 October 2007" - remove
- "The song received platinum status by the ..." ---> "The song was certified platinum by the ..."
- On the ARIA end of year charts "Hook Me Up" ranked at number twenty two. - remove "at"
- FN#17 goes after the comma
- "after a sexy concept" - was this from a quote? If not, its orish, if it is it needs to be presented as such
- File:Hook Me Up audio sample by The Veronicas.ogg needs a "further rational" section. Look at File:Amor Prohibido.ogg as an example
- Please fix these concerns before I do a spotcheck and a reference check. Happy holidays, Jonayo! Selena 4 ever 03:43, 27 December 2011 (UTC)
- Reference checking
- FN#6 Contactmusic.com does not need to be in italics. To force this simply add '' '' to the work field
- FN#7 as well as above (Sputnikmusic.com)
- FN#9 Is it "Accessed" or "Retrieved"? Be consistent
- FN#10, FN#12, FN#16, FN#30 and FN#31 same as FN#6
- FN#14 publisher?
- FN#19 YouTube is discouraged to be used, unless you can provide a persuasive reasoning on why it should be cited? (In other words, can you find another source on the web such as google.news or google.books?)
- FN#20, FN#27 DO NOT SHOUT! Do not capitalize titles, even if websites present themselves as such
- FN#27 is not a reliable source, you need to replace it with a reliable one
- FN#28 wikilink Apple Inc
- I copy edited some sentences of the article but please fix these and the article passes. Best, Jonayo! Selena 4 ever 03:49, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks. I have fixed the links. As for FN#19, I cannot find a reliable source online which will show the performance, other than the one that is listed. I have removed FN#27 because I can only find it on YouTube and if that isn't reliable then I will remove the bit about "Video Hits" altogether. I was also wondering how I could go about getting a screen cap of the music video without violating any rules. Thanks again DonEd (talk) 07:45, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
- Comments from shaidar cuebiyar
- I've tried to improve the overall expression and referencing of this article.
- I supplied a new sound sample with reduced length (to 10%) and quality (Vorbis = 0) per Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Music samples. By replacing [[File:Hook Me Up audio sample by The Veronicas.ogg]], which is now due to be deleted as no longer being used.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 08:59, 29 December 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for your work on this article which improved. Will pass, Jonayo! Selena 4 ever 15:29, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
