Historical facts wrong
[edit]"He is said to have told friends he would settle here later, but he died a few weeks later in the cause of Texan liberty, at the Alamo." This statement, regarding Davy Crockett misrepresents history in that he and the other men from Kentucky and Tennessee who came to settle the area did NOT liberate Texas, but instead came and settled in a foreign country (Mexico) and SIGNED AGREEMENTS that in order to settle there and get the land they would 1) be loyal to Mexico, and 2) the Catholic Church. They signed that agreement to get the land; then began making plans to steal that land away from Mexico. That is not an honorable fight or history at the Alamo. 84.65.77.42 (talk) 15:52, 7 April 2022 (UTC)
