I'm going to start reviewing this article soon. Regards, --Paparazzzi (talk) 22:56, 11 July 2019 (UTC)
Lead and infobox
[edit]- The infobox says the songs are part of an album called This Time Next Year, but this is not mentioned in the article; was this album released? is Honestly its lead single?
- Removed that. It's an album expected to be released, but nothing's confirmed. I guess another user added this and I did not catch it.
- "Commercially, "Honestly" reached download charts..." I think this can be changed to "Commercially, "Honestly" entered the download charts..." but it is optional
- Done
- Why are two sentences referenced here in the lead? As far as I know, you should only add references in the lead if said information is not mentioned later in the article. That is not the case here.
- Normally, quotes should also be cited in the lead, thus why here.
Background and composition
[edit]- "...in which Hanna also touches on empowerment topics." This is not supported in the reference
- She describes the song in other words, but this is basically empowerment... unless you've got any suggestion on how to rewrite it.
- "the song shows an "ominous and aggressive vibe" according to the reference, the critic is referring to both songs
- Done Corrected
- "Say you're talkin' to me honestly, but you're lyin' to me constantly".[2][7][9] Actually, this lyrics do not appear in references #2 and #7
- The lyrics are in ref #9, but the other two cite the fact that she's belting.
Commercial performance
[edit]- Indicate to which country the Bubbling Under Hot 100 is from
- Done
- You could add in this section that Honestly and the Encore reached #1 and #2 respectively on the US iTunes chart, as according to the Tubefilter and Headline Planet
- The iTunes chart are not notable for inclusion. I guess "achieved success on digital platforms" is enough.
Music video
[edit]- According to Dana Getz of PopCrush, this aesthetic represents the singer being lost in a "web of lies".[2][7] This is not mentioned in reference #2
- Done Whoops, I removed the ref.
Critical reception
[edit]- Wasn't this song reviewed by any critic? In my opinion, this section is something fundamental to Songs articles in general, maybe you can search for more websites. The critic from Tubefilter said that both tracks were darker than Hanna's previous singles; Idolator called it "festy" and a "no-holds-barred bop"
- Such a section is only worth of inclusion if the song received a considerable amount of reviews (which is not the case here since there's nothing more on the internet). Also, the bits you pointed out aren't really enough to make up such a section.
Release history
[edit]- It is stated here that the tracks were released in various territories; however, here is only referenced the release in the United States
- Done Fixed
References
[edit]- The archived links for references #3 and #4 do not work; this is a problem that iTunes has with archive sites (maybe you know another archive site to try)
- I honestly don't know any other service :( Maybe you do? Luckily, the links are still alive.
This is my review. I'm going to put this on hold until my comments are addressed. Regards, --Paparazzzi (talk) 01:10, 12 July 2019 (UTC)
