- It is reasonably well written.
- a (prose): b (MoS):
- In the first paragraph of the route description, you use "providing access" in two consecutive sentences.
- The sentence "The first exit in Cutler Bay is with Southwest 216th Street/Cutler Ridge Blvd at mile 11, where the highway widens to six lanes, and at Caribbean Blvd at mile 12, crossing back over US 1 at the Southland Mall before leaving Cutler Bay" is long and reads awkward.
- The sentence "Continuing north, exit 13 is SR 994 (Quail Roost Drive) and SR 992 (Coral Reef Drive (Southwest 152nd Street)) is exit 16, the northern terminus of the John F. Cosgrove Highway." needs to be reworded.
- The sentence "The tollway begins to enter more maturely developed areas, which are mostly residential for the next ten miles." is awkward and wordy and could be condensed to read better.
- In the second paragraph of the route description, you use the word "tollway" in two consecutive sentences.
- The sentence "The tollway starts to curve in a north-easterly direction, followed by US 27 at exit 35." sounds awkward.
- The sentence "North of the I-75 interchange, the tollway becomes a four-laned highway again, crosses the Broward County line, enters the suburban community of Miramar, and then curves east towards the Turnpike mainline." is long and choppy.
- "The tollway is followed by SR 817 (University Drive) at mile 46, allowing access to Sun Life Stadium and the Calder Race Course.", this sentence makes it sound like SR 817 comes after the turnpike. I would reword the beginning of the part of the sentence.
- Per WP:USRD/STDS, the tolls and services sections should have their own second-level subheaders rather than being included as part of the route description.
- a (prose): b (MoS):
- It is factually accurate and verifiable.
- a (references): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
- References are not needed in the lead unless the information is unique there as the lead is supposed to be a summary of main points discussed later in the article.
- The first paragraph of the route description needs citations. Google Maps or an official highway map should be able to suffice here. The part about development after Hurricane Andrew probably needs a different citation though.
- a (references): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
- It is broad in its coverage.
- a (major aspects): b (focused):
- The toll rates are as of January 2012, are any more recent figures available?
- When was SunPass implemented along the road?
- a (major aspects): b (focused):
- It follows the neutral point of view policy.

Homestead Extension of Florida's Turnpike → Ronald Reagan Turnpike – This article should be renamed to Ronald Reagan Turnpike, which is currently a redirect to this article. The Ronald Reagan Turnpike (hereafter referred to as “RR TPK”) is the name used by almost all locals when referencing this road, as well as being the name used by most maps, both electronic and paper atlases. I’ve seen the term “HEFT” used occasionally on electronic message boards and signs, but RR TPK is more common. Additionally, nobody uses the full mouthful term hardly ever, including cartographers. 38.110.200.26 (talk) 03:27, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose - Ronald Reagan Turnpike also refers to the mainline of the Florida's Turnpike. Moving this article to that title would cause confusion. Therefore the article should remain at this title to avoid confusion. Dough4872 13:54, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
- Actually, Ronald Reagan Turnpike does not refer to the mainline - only the HEFT. If you look on Google Maps, RR TPK is only used on the HEFT. 50.224.161.102 (talk) 14:18, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose—according to news sources I'm locating, the full turnpike was renamed for the 40th president, not just the HEFT. This document from the Florida Senate says on page 15 that both SR 91 and SR 821 were named for him on May 21, 1998. Imzadi 1979 → 16:45, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose per Dough and Imzadi. I would like to point out that the redirect at the proposed destination name pointed to Florida's Turnpike until June 30, when an IP editor pointed it to this page. -happy5214 23:45, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
- Weak support While Ronald Reagan Turnpike is the official name of the entire mainline, locals, myself included, almost always reserve the Ronald Reagan Turnpike designation for the HEFT only, in order to distinguish it from the mainline. Also, I can confirm that the OP is correct in that Google Maps only refers to the HEFT as Ronald Reagan Turnpike, and that most electronic message boards on area highways do the same. 2600:8807:5500:2C40:7871:FD26:266A:A51F (talk) 03:03, 2 July 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose per this. Cards84664 (talk) 12:59, 2 July 2018 (UTC)
- Comment I’ve converted the Ronald Reagan Turnpike page into a disambiguation page for both the mainline and the HEFT, since redirecting the title to either specific article really isn’t correct since the name can refer to both. 2600:387:1:811:0:0:0:58 (talk) 15:44, 6 July 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose - Sources show title refers to both. KnightLago (talk) 23:08, 6 July 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose—Unless the common name in popular use is the Ronald Reagan Turnpike, the article title should remain HEFT. VC 02:40, 8 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Viridiscalculus: The common name in use for the HEFT is the Ronald Reagan Turnpike. While RR TPK does also refer to the mainline, it is never used for this purpose (only for the HEFT). 38.122.127.226 (talk) 23:13, 8 July 2018 (UTC)
- Support per above, the HEFT is officially named and commonly referred to as the Ronald Reagan Turnpike, even on Google Maps and other electronic mapping applications. The RR TPK designation does also apply to the mainline turnpike, but nobody calls the mainline turnpike the RR TPK, and instead uses RR TPK as a way to clearly distinguish the HEFT from the mainline. 38.122.127.226 (talk) 23:13, 8 July 2018 (UTC)
- IP, did you just !vote twice? I find it hard to believe that two separate 38.x.x.x IPs have a keen interest in Florida toll roads. –Fredddie™ 03:33, 9 July 2018 (UTC)
- The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
