Synopsis
[edit]I'm curious, where did you get the synopsis for this episode? I've never heard anything about it... -- Scorpion0422 15:04, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
Was Peter Wolf in this episode? He is listed in the season overview, but not the episode capsule. (205.250.167.76 19:19, 26 March 2007 (UTC))
- No. He wasn't. Gran2 07:50, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
Couch Gag
[edit]Does anyone know if this episode has the longest couch gag ever. I timed it at about 70 seconds from the time Homer ran into the door until the time the tv displays opening credits. I don't recall if there has ever been one that long. I think this might be worth mentioning in the trivia section if someone can find out.
Betty White
[edit]Interesting note, although I don't know if its worth mentioning: In the episode Missionary: Impossible, where Betty White had previously guest starred, she played a tv personality, and never actually interacted with Homer in the episode. Yet she remembered him! 12.218.145.112 02:51, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
- "Homer, you don't have ten thousand dollars, do you?"
"No, ma'am..." "And You thoguht you could jsut stab your problems away?" "Yes ma'am, sorry ma'am." "You silly thing. *Stern* Get him, boys!"
She does interact with him but knows much more about his personal life when talking to him in this episode, so you're mostly right. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.196.115.179 (talk) 22:15, 28 March 2007 (UTC).
colonge
[edit]Should we add the Star Wars reference that was featured on the colonge Homer puts in the safe? Emigdioofmiami 01:06, 30 March 2007 (UTC)User:EmigdioofmiamiEmigdioofmiami 01:06, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
Couch Gag
[edit]The couch gas is a reference to the video of the Fatboy Slim single - Right Here, Right now 125.99.105.109 07:46, 6 April 2007 (UTC) Kroaker_blue
- And yor source for that is? Gran2 07:50, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
- Maybe he have like, watched the Fatboy Slim music video?
- Yeah, it's pretty similar. The video dates to 1999, so it's very likely to be the inspiration.72.67.93.133 (talk) 00:14, 25 August 2008 (UTC)

"May be a reference..."
[edit]There's a couple of references mentioned (Sideshow Mel eating the flag, and Tatum snorting the ashes) which aren't really verifiable, so are they worth having here? Personally I think not. They're some pretty tenuous links, at best. KingDaveRa 17:37, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
Goofs
[edit]The Goofs section seems to be more of a joke then a goof. It's not a goof, for example, when Marge is blaise about her hair being on fire, it's a joke on how big it is. Lots42 (talk) 16:29, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
An Observation
[edit]Is it just me or does this episode contain a bit of a tongue-in-cheek knock on Chris Reeve and stem cell research? Pay attention to the delicacy served by the waitress at the party near the end as well as Homer's speech. AceWhatever (talk) 11:30, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
Other Episode References
[edit]Homer also snaps Jose Canseco, who appeared in Season three's "Homer at the Bat", when coming out of the dry cleaners. Jmbud (talk) 19:48, 22 July 2008 (UTC)Jmbud (talk) 19:49, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
The portion on celebrities coming out of the dry cleaners is way off in general. Lurleen Lumpkin is nowhere to be found coming in this sequence. The section also misses Mr. T (who appeared in Season 15's "Today I Am A Clown") and another character (snapped just before Jose Canseco) who I don't recognize from any particular episode (although he looks a lot like Jimmy Durante). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.140.155.60 (talk) 18:01, 23 July 2008 (UTC)
