Scratch that, I think have seen it, but it was very much on in the background :P

"first British man to" Unless there was previously a British woman, I think this should read "first British person"
- Y Done. I checked List of writers of The Simpsons and IMDb and none of the female writers appear to be British.
The "background" section is kind of in the wrong order, and is a little choppy. Could you perhaps give it a smooth over? Sorry this advice isn't very specific

"According to the New York Post, Gervais said to a British newspaper in late 2005 that as a result of working on The Simpsons and other American shows, he now has "a deeper bond" with American television than he has with British television." Quote implies that "a deeper bond" is Gervais's own words, which they do not appear to be (a search on Nexis for this article in the unknown British newspaper only turns up the NYP article you're citing)

Engaging, well written and researched, and I even got a couple of chuckles. Sourcing and illustrations solid, no edit wars, etc. I did some copyediting, please correct me if I was wrong. I was wondering about a category for Ricky Gervais, but no such category exists, and, unless I'm very much mistaken, Simpsons episodes are not categorised by writer anyway. The navbox pretty much serves that purpose, and also gives this article some nice incoming links from non-Simpsons articles.
