Next steps?

[edit]

To the best of my knowledge, these are now all either defunct, or have become reduced to a clinic within another facility, or have ceased to provide homeopathic treatment. But I don't yet have WP:RS to back that. When all of these articles have been created (which they should be, as hospitals are inherently notable), we should go on to create a Homeopathic treatment in the NHS article, which can also take in the wider prescribing of homeopathic treatments elsewhere in the NHS, and how the NHS came to be providing homeopathic treatments in the first place. -- The Anome (talk) 15:20, 14 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

No, I was wrong in at least one case: the Centre for Integrative Care still lists homeopathy as a treatment offered[1] -- The Anome (talk) 01:16, 15 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Update: it also looks like homeopathic services are still being provided in Bristol, albeit now in a clinic setting. Quote: "The NHS Homeopathic Service is now being delivered on behalf of UH Bristol by the Portland Centre for Integrative Medicine (PCIM), a Community Interest Company."[2] -- The Anome (talk) 11:08, 17 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The Bristol Homeopathic Hospital should really now be shown as having closed in 2003, but maybe wait until the outcome of the recent consultation by the three local CCGs to end funding of homeopathy provided by the PCIM is announced. This is likely to end all NHS funding of homeopathy in the area. There is also a current consultation by NHS England that is likely to result in the effective blacklisting of all prescriptions for homeopathy in England. The consultation runs until 21 October 2017 but it may be a while till the decision is published. Zeno27 (talk) 00:40, 31 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

2018

[edit]

I note that as of June 2018, the NHSGGC still says it provides homeopathic treatments under the umbrella of anthroposophic medicine: http://www.nhsggc.org.uk/patients-and-visitors/main-hospital-sites/gartnavel-campus/nhs-centre-for-integrative-care/nhs-centre-for-integrative-care-therapies/anthroposophic-medicine/ -- The Anome (talk) 17:55, 6 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
