Contesting speedy
[edit]I think this product has some degree of notability, given the number of autos it's installed in -- I also note on another WP page that it won a trade award back in 1997. (And of course, it passes my first test for notability: I had occasion to look it up :-).
I plan to flesh this out a bit, noting the award and prevalence in the field. This should at least move it from a speedy candidate to AfD-class...
I'd also contest whether it's "blatant advertising": the article as it stands today is stubby, but it's a straightforward description of what the protect is and what it does. No peacock terms or excessive claims; it just doesn't establish notability in any way.
Note that I don't have any connection to the product other than it being a standard feature in all the automobiles I own, which is why I was looking for a better description of it.--NapoliRoma (talk) 17:50, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit]I think an extra, third party source, would do a lot to help this page out. Undeath (talk) 03:47, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
