[edit]This article is not encyclopedic. It is an advertisement for a product nobody has heard of. I recommend deletion. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.242.207.186 (talk) 19:11, 23 May 2010 (UTC)
- Hollywood is at least useful application that supports many operating systems and one of the few remaining commercial applications for AmigaOS (and its clones). I think this article has its place on Wikipedia. Pavlor (talk) 07:39, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
- I also use Hollywood very often and this is an extremely good and helpful programming language. Its out-of-the-box support for so many OS' is astounishing and very useful. Just because _you_ haven't heard of it it does not mean it should be deleted. One of the best pieces of Amiga software just needs its place in the Wikipedia. Clydos (talk) 12:34, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
- Hollywood is notable enough in Amiga Circles, and since Amiga is notable enough, Notable things modern day Notable things should be notable enough. Hollywood is most notable modern Amiga born programming language. It is also to my understadning only Amiga born langauge capable of compiling to other machiens than just Amiga making it notable in that sense too. For me, having this article is really helpful. For dozens of times i encounter the question in programming and similar forums "What language do you use" "Hollywood" "Whats that?" and then i need to explain them. Now i can simply point them to this wikipedia page and show them.Bugala (talk) 04:26, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
- This product plays an important role for the small but active amiga community. It's a symbol of unity in a broken amiga history ... the many different systems supported give a good way to produce software without adding to the ongoing battle of succession. In its role I think it earnes a place here and in every wiki. Rilgamon (talk) 10:21, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
