Well, i find the formula interesting : "hokkani boro, old when the pyramids were new". In addition, i guess before "hokkani boro" is practiced (if at all :) ), other little tricks preceed, and it should be mentioned together with circus, circus magic and travelling people.

On the internet, i have read of other tricks: to find an insect etc. inside a tomato. If these tricks work, the client gains trust and eventually hands over money for the hokkani boro trick. User:Yy-bo 17:15, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
^v^ In all likelyhood there is more data to be found on "Hokkani boro" in the writings of George Barrow on the gypsies, if anyone has access to it. ^v^ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.76.32.181 (talk) 00:51, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
Hanky Panky & Hocus Pocus
[edit]The article stated that Charles G. Leland suggested that Huckneny Pokee might be the origin of Hanky Panky and Hocus Pocus. It seems that giving an extended quotation on this rather minor point is unnecessary, and out of proportion to its importance in the article as a whole: the attribution to Leland plus a reference to its source should be adequate. Modern sources
[edit]There seems to be lack of modern sources.
This may be because of a lack of interest but I think it is worth bringing up this point since the 1800s was the infancy of sociology.
