Any more changes needed?
[edit]What else needs to be added to these Japanese martial artist articles that I've been creating? I'm tired of them getting flagged for random things. I need citations for body content, Japanese name tags and translations at the beginning...what else? The body already exists in both the Japanese and French Wiki's for most of these, so they just need to be translated, which I've flagged them for accordingly. Is there anything that is necessary for these to be unflagged for errors by mods? -- AlienRage (talk) 15:10, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
- It definitely needs more reliable sourcing so that other editors can verify the details added so far. The Japanese Wiki gives the person's name as "Hōhan Soken" rather than "Hohan Sōken", so that needs verifying. Also his birth date is given as 1891 instead of the 1889 stated in this article, so that needs to be verified too. --DAJF (talk) 15:29, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
- Okay, I will try to go through the couple that I've created recently and cite as much information as possible. I'm guessing that the citations from other language Wikipedia's whose articles are unflagged are fine? I'll try to definitively verify Sōken's birth year, also. If I can find multiple sources that verify that birthdate, is this enough to justify leaving only the original 1889 date there, if all of those sources are cited? As far as his name is concerned, I'll try to find some sources for that too. (Possible hyperforeignism, I suppose, but I think this spelling is correct.) I just secured a book written by Fusei Kise, the recipient of his menkyo kaiden, who trained with him for several decades and knew him very personally. I'm hoping that will be a sufficient source for many of these facts. -- AlienRage (talk) 13:50, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
