Change 'Ancient Runes' to 'Study of Ancient Runes'

It was revealed in the books that the full name of the class nicknamed 'Ancient Runes' is actually 'Study of Ancient Runes'. This is mentioned in Chamber of Secrets. The Chamber of Secrets reference is in Chapter Fourteen, titled 'Cornelius Fudge'. In this chapter, the second-years decide what new subjects they will take up in the third year. The quote below is from pages 186-187 (British edition):

Neville Longbottom had been sent letters from all the witches and wizards in his family, all giving him different advice on what to choose. Confused and worried, he sat reading the subject lists with his tongue poking out, asking people whether they thought Arithmancy sounded more difficult than Study of Ancient Runes.

I would like the heading 'Ancient Runes' changed to 'Study of Ancient Runes' and then, written under in the summary, something like, 'Study of Ancient Runes, more commonly known simply as Ancient Runes is ...' Please take note of this. Thanks, JustPotteringAround (talk) 05:39, 15 November 2011 (UTC)

Changed it. It's Study of Ancient Runes on Pottermore, written by JKR.

Just reading through the list of classes, and there's something not quite right in the Apparition section. It mentions Hermione panicking, and deciding to go to the Forest of Dean instead of 12 Grimmauld Place, so that Yaxley couldn't find there hiding place. What actually happened is that she DID go to 12 Grimmauld Place, realised Yaxley was holding on to them, shook him off, THEN apparated to the Forest of Dean.

HP7 is a reliable source; look it up. The original poster is correct. I have, however, changed the section and taken out that description altogether as it doesn't add to the Apparition section. What's the point in mentioning it? Why mention that and not any other Apparition? I've also added Side-Along Apparition, which is mentioned and performed in HP6.

However, Ron did not get splinched in the Forest of Dean, he got splinched after leaving 12GP to go to the forest the Triwizard Tournament was held in (not sure of its name). The Forest of Dean is where Harry and Hermione went without Ron, Harry found the Sword of Gryffindor Snape left, and then Ron saved Harry and destroyed the locket horcrux.

Edit Request on House Jewels

I don't have the books now so I cannot find the source, but I'm sure that you'll remember too. The houses' jewels must be mentioned. The house jewels are used for notifying the amount of house points that a house has.

Gryffindor's jewel is ruby, Hufflepuff's is topaz, Ravenclaw's is sapphire, and Slytherin's is emerald.

Please make the changes :)

In the translations section, under french, the name of the school is poudlard. Poux means fleas or lice, and the name is a play on Poux de lard, which means pigfleas.
