Beware of "artspeak"

[edit]

Please remember that Wikipedia is a general encyclopaedia and should try to be as comprehensible to the general reader as possible. When writing about art there is a well established tendency towards using an in-house style that I call "artspeak" which is very hard to understand and may sometimes, but not always, be used as a complex and pretentious way of saying little if anything at all. Please try to avoid this. Use simple phrases when possible and only use complex phrases where necessary and where they are clearly correct and meaningful. After all, we want the reader to actually understand the article, not be impressed but bewildered by it. --DanielRigal (talk) 01:24, 6 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Expanding the article

[edit]

I don't speak German but I see that the German language article is rather larger than this one. Maybe some of that can be translated? --DanielRigal (talk) 01:28, 6 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
