Raising the Drinking Age
[edit]Just out of curiosity, why isn't there any mention here of the drinking age being essentially raised at a national level to 21? Granted it's not exactly a success for youth rights, but it's certainly relevant to the history of them in the US. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.146.21.117 (talk) 13:19, 26 July 2011 (UTC)
1930s - 1950s
[edit]This section had an unsubstantiated reference to the American Youth Congress being stymied by the efforts of Joseph McCarthy, even though McCarthy was not a Senator at the time of the AYC's collapse. I am open to changing the new phrasing of the section (it's kind of messy as-is); I just needed to see that reference to McCarthy removed.
Additionally can anybody source the reference to Joseph Lash being the executive director of the AYC at the time of the Congressional Hearings? The source provided only refers to him as an activist for youth rights. Hkobb7 (talk) 20:27, 20 December 2013 (UTC)
