The Camera
[edit]The camera was first built by Jeffery Stevens- nile in 1685. The camera had to be small and portable enough to be practical for photography. The camera is important to my topic because it could help capture photos of criminals in their act. Every camera has certain features that set it apart from the others, but all cameras have these basic parts:a body(the lighttight box that supports all the other parts). a light-capuring system(film or a light-sensitive digital chip). a lens to focus the light onto the light-capuring system. a shutter to control the amount of time light strikes the light-capuring system. a shutter release button to open the shutter. a veiwfinder through which the photographer looks to compose the image. There are all sorts of cameras,as shown below, DISPOSABLE CAMERAS cost very little because the body is mostly cardboard with plastic parts, including the lens. It will fit in your pocket and is easy to use. You don't have to worry about buying, loading, or unloading film since the roll of film is part of the camera. Some models come with a built-in flash. Others have a wide-angle lens for taking panoramas or are waterproof, making them great for the beach or pool. These cameras are perfect for when you don't want to have to worry about damaging your "real" camera or if you forget your regular camera. But you can't change the focus on a disposable camera, and the plastic lens does not create very sharp pictures. POINT-AND-SHOOT CAMERAS are compact, reusable, and usually don't require a lot of technical know-how to operate. they are generally video cameras in modern times, without exchangeable lenses, and limited features.
