In this article in discussing American TV coverage by decade, there is a mention that CBS carried 5 Stanley Cup playoff games in 1969 and that they managed to carry the 1971 and 1972 Cup clinching games on weeknights. There is no mention of any other clinching telecasts, if there were any, on weekend days. Wasn't the famous Bobby Orr 1970 winning goal on a Sunday afternoon on CBS? You can still hear Dan Kelly's voice every time the clip is played.
The game was played on a Sunday, May 10. [1] and [2] and according to Wikipedia [3] game 4 was carried by CBS.
I just thought it was strange to jump from 1969-1971 while skipping one of the most famous goals in hockey history, May 10, 1070. --Lookatitright (talk) 03:36, 24 October 2009 (UTC)
