NPOV February 2021
[edit]The content of this article, which I separated from the main page of International Ice Hockey Federation is slanted toward a North American view (perhaps this should be listed under Wikipedia:Systemic bias?). Most evident in quotes such as:
Canada and the United States made their debut on the international scene at the tournament. Their level of play was vastly superior to that of the Europeans and Canada took home the gold while the US won the silver medal.
&
Sabetzki's greatest achievement was ending the Canadian boycott of the World Championships and Olympic Games.
This is not to say that Canada and the United States weren't superior to European countries or that the re-introduction of Canada to IIHF events wasn't a big achievement, it just needs to be neutrally stated. --Jabbi (talk) 13:01, 20 February 2021 (UTC)
Too much reliance on primary sources
[edit]In addition to this article having POV content, there is way too much reliance on the IIHF version of it's own history. Out of a total of 26 references, 10 are to sources on IIHF.com. Morover, out of those 26 references, 8 sources refer to very recent events regarding cooperation with Belarus that I have added. This means that support the IIHF's history, there are only 6 secondary sources. Unless there are objections, I will add a, primary sources template to signal this problem with the article.
