3500 BC

As a date for Chinese aquaculture is nearly incredible. It well predates China's own myths on when its culture started and so should depend on some archaeological evidence but none is presented by Parker. It's contradicted by other, better sources such as Nash and should be omitted from the article pending something more about the evidence behind it. — LlywelynII 15:44, 11 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

How Freshwater Fish and Fishes in Nile can be Included in this article?

[edit]

How Freshwater Fish and Fishes in Nile can be Included in this article? It is not related to Seafood. So I am to remove those Fresh Water food History. User:Epipelagic It looks like you are the major contributor. I need your inputs.--Tenkasi Subramanian (talk) 11:27, 3 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

In practice, particularly in North America, the term "seafood" often includes fresh water organisms eaten by humans, so it it is not inappropriate to include something on Nile fishes during antiquity. See the article on seafood. --Epipelagic (talk) 07:04, 15 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I changed the Paleolithic period which started 2.6 million years ago to the upper-paleolithic period which started fifty thousand years ago. Upper-Paleolithic period was period mentioned in linked reference. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 143.176.202.92 (talk) 05:53, 15 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
