British Salt and Saxa

[edit]

The Saxa brand is owned by RHM Holdings and not British Salt. I cannot confirm that British Salt salt is not used to make Saxa salt though! Do people agree? If so, I will correct this page.  Pixie2000 (talk) 21:11, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The salt from the British Salt works is packaged and sold by RHM as Saxa (search [1] for RHM, or scroll to the end of the British Salt website [2]). You're right that British Salt don't actually sell under the Saxa brand though. Salinae 21:25, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I think it currently implies that British Salt "own" Saxa. Would the sentence be better changed from ...however salt manufacture in Middlewich is now concentrated in one manufacturer, British Salt, who sell under the name Saxa, and also through third parties e.g. supermarket own brands. ... to ...however salt manufacture in Middlewich is now concentrated in one manufacturer, British Salt.
