Not, "History of Gay Marriage in California", or the "Prop 8 marriage debate in California". While the subject is a part of the history it should only have a small part in this article as it only represents approximately 30 years out of the thousands of years worth of history, recorded or not.
I am suspicious as to why the article was begun, but have added a great deal of history not even covered in the original edits of this page.--Amadscientist (talk) 01:53, 11 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I have been trying to find out if same sex civil unions were legal in California before 2008. This is important because the Prop 8 people's Supreme Court filing claims they are simply trying to define the term marriage and not to stop same sex civil unions -- a red herring if such were never legal.
