Need to put material in sub-articles

[edit]

Hello all. As you can see/guess, this is from Britannica. I put it up because we didn't have an article here, and it's so thorough that is was well worth it. I've done a bit of formatting already. But what I really need to do is to better organise the material, and move it all to the sub-articles giving clearer summaries here.

As you can see, this is all about health and safety and pay standards (because that was almost the whole of it before 1911). Obviously there's a much bigger story to tell with collective labour law, the growth of discrimination protection and the rise and fall of wage protection. We should also put something in about codetermination.

Gaps

[edit]

This article, following Britannica, neglects developments in (former) British colonies, China, Japan and other Asian countries, Russia etc. Only England, the U.S. and continental Europe (excluding Russia) are covered. It would be good if these gaps could be filled in here. And of course an update is needed for the information that is presented (valid only as of 1911, though even for Britannica info up to 1922 is available if the 12th edition is considered). Sentence Structure

[edit]

The sentences need to be broken down, removing all those commas. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.101.58.53 (talk) 13:16, 18 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Citations needed

[edit]

There are like 3 citations. I don't know how to mark this as "please add citations" but if you own this page please add citations. Mrmola (talk) 22:28, 15 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
