I'm curious why the scope of this article seems to be limited to DTN as applied to space communication. Is there are recognized definition of DTN the limits it to space comms? High-delay requirements and associated networking solutions were actively worked through the 70s and 80s. Mobility wasn't usually a factor; the delays were caused by unreliable or highly-loaded networks. Resulting technologies include UUCP, NNTP, and SMTP. Those are just the ones I'm aware of and happen to be Internet- or Unix-oriented; there are likely others. Jdimpson (talk) 15:57, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
