October 2017 updates
[edit]Hello wikipedians,
There is obviously a lot of good content in this article with a lot of good work that has gone into it. Well done everyone who constructively contributed thus far. I have attempted to build on that to improve it further as per what the info on this talk page suggests.
Of the improvements I have attempted one is to make the article more concise. It seemed to me that there was lots of superfluous text that could be removed without removing any of the relevant information. e.g. text would be duplicate of content already in usually the same paragraph. I have also tried to replace passive phrasing with active phrasing. e.g:
The cake was eaten by Mary
Replace the above with:
Mary ate the cake
I've also adjusted the sectioning to what seems more appropriate for example based on management eras. There's a small amount of additional info I have added. That is such as important goal scorers for things like cup finals (more could likely be added) and some important player signings such as Ian Rush.
I see there's two further pages on the history of Liverpool FC. Any takers for a similar exercise on those?
I hope this all reads in the intended constructive manner.
