1. Broad in its coverage (3a). Many aspects of the History of Jainism are not covered:
   1. Influence of Sramana traditions in Origins
   2. Influence of Hinduism and Buddhism on Jainism and vice versa
   3. The timeline is flawed: The schism happened after Indrabhuti and Bimbisara.
   4. Early decline from Magadha due to Buddhism
   5. Work of Hemachandra, Samantabhadra, Pujyada in propagation
   6. Early support of the Pandyas
   7. Protection by the Islamic Mughals like Akbar, Jahangir.
   8. Decline - Vaishnava teachers like Vallabha, Nimbarka, Chaitanya
   9. Reform by Lonka, Lavaji and creation of further sects
   10. Legal support of Jainism in Modern India
2. Neutral (4):
   1. "The presence of gymnosophists ("naked philosophers") in Greek records as early as the fourth century B.C., supports the claim of the Digambaras that they have preserved the ancient Śramaṇa practice". This seems to be biased towards the Digambaras. Helmuth von Glasenapp talks that Shvetambaras followed the tenets of Parshva, whose followers wore clothes; while Digambaras chose to follow Mahavira's teachings.
   2. Historicity of Neminath: Most scholars treat him and his predecessors mythical. No mentioned in his section; but presented as view of one "Glasenapp (a Western scholar)". Glasenapp is an accurate way of referring to him; his family name is von Glasenapp.
