Orphaned references in History of Islam in China

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of History of Islam in China's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "bbc":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 03:05, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dates are wrong

[edit]

The dates for their first missionary trips to China do not make sense. They could not be Muslim missionaries to China in 616/617 considering Muhammad did not even begin his Haji until 622 and did not compile the Quran until the 650's. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Arjibuh (talkcontribs) 03:59, 31 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 4 external links on History of Islam in China. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}).

Merge request and thoughts

[edit]

I propose to move (not merge, since there are many duplicates) the content from Islam in China (History section) and move into this article (History of Islam in China), while the content that goes on from 1911 and so on move into this page: Islam in China (1911-present).

The history section in that page is already cleaned by me (removed typo/duplicates). So it would be good to move it here entirely. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Danial Bass (talk) 13:01, 26 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
