Area
[edit]"The territory forming the boundaries of Bikaner..." I find this puzzling, in that "territory" implies area, while "boundary" suggests a line, which has no area. 172.56.26.213 (talk) 04:26, 11 May 2014 (UTC)
What a story!
[edit]Wouldn't you like to know what that off-hand remark was, the one Rao Bika's father made which provoked his son to go off gallivanting like that? Perhaps it was something like, "Why the hell can't I get a decent cup of coffee in this damn kingdom?" 172.56.27.165 (talk) 04:49, 11 May 2014 (UTC)
Disappearance of Bikaner
[edit]By the time I got down to 1947, I'd forgotten about the first sentence, where it says, "the present-day districts of Bikaner...." I was under the mistaken impression that once Rajasthan gobbled up the state of Bikaner, it ceased to exist. There's something romantic about the notion of a vanished kingdom, but Google found the present-day city easily. It's southwest of New Delhi. 172.56.26.48 (talk) 05:06, 11 May 2014 (UTC)
