DYK nomination
[edit]It was in the DYK nomination template where the close paraphrasing mentioned on the main page came to light. I'm transcluding the template below, in case it is of use. BlueMoonset (talk) 05:06, 19 February 2013 (UTC)

History of Bahrain (1783–1971) → Bahrain (1783–1971) – The title page should be the country name D4rkeRR9 (talk) 21:05, 13 January 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose. The current title is the usual one for such articles. Bahrain (1783–1971) implies it was a state that only existed between 1783 and 1971, disambiguated from another state of the same name. -- Necrothesp (talk) 11:15, 14 January 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose move and snowclose. "History of _____" is the standard form for a reason. O.N.R. (talk) 13:18, 14 January 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose The current article is not as clearly structured as it could be, but there is a difference between a history article and an article on a state. CMD (talk) 14:04, 14 January 2021 (UTC)
Rename
[edit]Since the article covers Bahrain's history as an emirate I request editors to consider renaming this article into Emirate of Bahrain and to reword the opening paragraph and infobox of this page to fit the consistency of other articles about former sovereign states. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Prodrummer619 (talk • contribs) 20:06, 7 March 2022 (UTC)
