Lower Columbia River Highway

Although this page is a redirect from the Lower Columbia River Highway link, there seems to be almost nothing about Oregon Highway 2W, signed as US 30, the nearly 100-mile long stretch of road between Portland and Astoria. 192.235.1.34 19:18, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

complete set of individual bridge photos (and articles?)

Hey, IMO a complete set of individual bridge photos here oughta be included in List of bridges on the National Register of Historic Places in Oregon, instead of just mention that there are multiple bridges on this NRHP-listed highway. And in this article. And perhaps there should be a separate article about each one, or at least a section or a row in a table describing each one. I guess basically I think that the detailed list of contributing structures, etc., collected above by User:NE2, oughta be filled out and used in this article. And have Eagle Creek Bridge (currently a redirect to Eagle Creek (Multnomah County, Oregon), which does not much cover the bridge) needs IMO to be a link to a separate article on the bridge, or to a section or table row explicitly about the bridge, with bridge name in bold and with photo(s). And ensure that category Category:Bridges on the National Register of Historic Places in Oregon and other suitable categories are attached to the article or to the redirect (to a section or table row). And similarly for all the items in schematic diagram within "Route description" section, e.g. for "Toothrock Viaduct" which looks like a redirect (but is in fact just a local redirect "#Toothrock Viaduct", while Toothrock Viaduct is currently a redlink). The local redirect just links to Historic_Columbia_River_Highway#Toothrock_Viaduct i.e. to the top of the schematic diagram itself, sort of misleading readers to think they can get to additional info. I think it needs to be a proper link to an article on it or a proper redirect to a section or table row on it, with a photo, etc.

I see that Talk:List of bridges on the National Register of Historic Places in Oregon#Perhaps add Dry Canyon Creek Bridge and others of Historic Columbia River Highway, a discussion from 2008 involving me and NE2, makes the same suggestion. To advance this, I wonder if one could best proceed by expanding the table at List of bridges on the National Register of Historic Places in Oregon#Historic Columbia River Highway to include all the items in the "Route description"? Or work to draft a table not in mainspace, say at Talk:Historic Columbia River Highway/Bridges? Because this article is indeed very nice and complete in its own way now, and there would be a lot of mess here if this were developed directly in this article.
