Updating career statistics
[edit]With all due respect, I honestly don't see how updating the table of career statistics throughout the season is a problem. No, it's not necessary by any means, and yes, player statistics do become quickly outdated (though starting pitchers in Japan only pitch once a week, so I don't see how this is much of a problem). Then again, my claim that having that (2009) row there makes it easier to update the statistics later on (particularly for a novice editor who isn't completely familiar with the markup regarding table formatting) is valid; and seeing as I've taken taken this much time to write up everything else in the article, I think it's fair that I receive the benefit of the doubt as to whether I myself would be capable to update the table throughout the season (if not after every start, then at least every few weeks). - Please also note that just deleting the entire row without reverting the bottom line of the table (career stats) and marking it as "current as of the end of the 2008 season" creates discrepancies and is confusing to readers. Tech77jp (talk) 03:05, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
