Status of Canwell
[edit]Does anyone know the status of Canwell as a civil parish?. The official list at Names and codes for Administrative Geography only gives Hints and does not mention Canwell. The name of the parish coucil is Hints with Canwell, which suggests Canwell should be a CP in its own right, as does the comment "in 1983 the Canwell Parish was created by Act of Parliament" at Canwell Church. Anyone know? Jan1nad (talk) 13:07, 16 September 2009 (UTC)
- I have found the answer to my own question here. I can only conclude that the 1983 reference is to the creation of the ecclesiastical parish. Jan1naD - (talk) 15:15, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
