Hinton Waldrist, Oxfordshire.
[edit]There is no mention on the page named above of the Roman remains at Hinton Waldrist, which lie in a wood called Adchester Wood a little to the south of the village. I have not been able to find out much about it. I went there some years ago, and was amazed at the extremely good preaservation of the ruins, which in places appear as banks almost a metre high. It was a long, narrow building which put me in mind of something like a cavalry stable perhaps? Does anyone know anything about Adchester Wood, and why does it seem to be one of the best kept secrets in Oxfordshire? Joe90+2 (talk) 15:52, 29 April 2012 (UTC)
