Original research
[edit]The article equates the notion of Hindu philosophy with modern cosmology theories. Without references, this smells like original research. Even with proper references from reliable sources, this should not permeate the article, but at best be an attributed comparison delegated to a later section. --Lambiam 17:22, 15 August 2010 (UTC)
P.S. See also Religious interpretations of the Big Bang theory#Hindu view. --Lambiam 14:11, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
- I'm deleting the last two paragraphs as they do not describe the Hindu conception of the cycle of the universe. The link to Neil Turok and the Religious Interpretations link above should suffice. Monado (talk) 13:09, 24 June 2013 (UTC)
- I'm editing the text to remove tenuous and un-sourced analogies between creation mythology and modern physics. --Zyryab (talk) 11:41, 4 August 2014 (UTC)
This Article Needs Attention
[edit]This is obviously one-sided and biased, along with being unsupported. Someone with an expertise in Hinduism should have a look at it and include perspectives other than the Shivite one. This is a million light years from what a Wikipedia page should be. What if someone who knows nothing about the tradition comes across it and thinks all of Hinduism is about Shiva or that is the only kind of Hinduism? Horrible.

Redirect proposal
[edit]I propose to redirect "Hindu cycle of the universe" to "Hindu cosmology". The "Hindu cycle of the universe" article duplicates some of the same content and sources that exist on the "Hindu cosmology" article and offers no additional content. Jroberson108 (talk) 17:39, 25 January 2021 (UTC)
- Since there has been no opposition, I will proceed with the redirect. Jroberson108 (talk) 04:21, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
