COI Edit Request
[edit]Part of an edit requested by an editor with a conflict of interest has been implemented. [see below] |
Hello! I am a representative of hims + hers and would like to request some changes to the article. I've included sources for each requested change and proposed language that I believe fits with Wikipedia's guidelines. Feel free to contact me on this talk page or my user talk page with any questions. Thank you for your help.
1. Can we adjust the wording of the first paragraph to more accurately reflect what we do? Proposed wording: "Hims & Hers Health, Inc. is a telehealth company that operates a platform to connect customers to licensed healthcare professionals. Hims & Hers Health also sells over-the-counter personal care products and offers prescriptions through a subscription model.[1] The company was founded in 2017 with the launch of Hims, and Hers was launched in 2018."
(The reference included here is currently number 15 in the article)
2. Add the following information to the top section: "In October 2020, Hims and Oaktree Acquisition Corp. announced a merger. After the merger, the company became known as Hims & Hers Health, Inc."
Source:

3. In the first history paragraph, add "Hilary Coles" as a founder of the company.

4. Add the following information to the History section: "On October 1, 2020, Hims and Oaktree Acquisition Corp., an acquisition company, announced a merger agreement. After the merger, the company began operating as Hims & Hers Health, Inc. The transaction was completed on January 21, 2021 and the combined companies' stock started trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the symbol “HIMS.”

- In progress. Hello LoConnor123, thank you for disclosing your paid editor status and making an edit request. As someone who spends a significant amount of time cleaning up the mess left behind by blackhat marketing agencies like the one previously editing this article, I appreciate it. I'm looking into your requests as well as other reliable sources available. MarioGom (talk) 21:03, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
- Hi User:MarioGom Thank you for your help. Let me know if I can be of assistance. LoConnor123 (talk) 17:58, 25 March 2021 (UTC)
- 1. Partly done I added more reliable sources and rephrased to better reflect them. I understand that
platform to connect customers to licensed healthcare professionals
is the officially sanctioned PR speech at hims, but that's not the way it is described by Bloomberg, Wired, The New York Times, TechCrunch, etc. - 2. Partly done Added more info about the merged, but trying to rely on more reliable sources.
- 4. Done with some rephrasing and better sources.
- 5. Not done Added Online pharmacy since it seems more specific and accurate.
- 6. Done
- 7. Done
- 9. Done
- 10. Done as well as in the external links section.
- 3 and 8 can be done, but it would be good if you could provide reliable sources (see below).
Please, take some time to read our reliable sources policy. Almost every source you provided is very poor quality. As you know, bizjournals.com is a churnalism outlet that does copypasting from your press releases with minimal editorial oversight. This kind of source may be used in limited context, but they should not constitute the bulk of the article sources. Best, MarioGom (talk) 23:05, 25 March 2021 (UTC)
Hi User:MarioGom I appreciate your help with our request and all of your work on our article. I just had a few additional requests.
1. We aren't just an online pharmacy, we provide other services, such as mental health counseling. Also, Citations 2 and 4 call us a telehealth company. Could you help me in changing the industry to healthcare since online pharmacy isn't the best description?
2. I also appreciate you adding some of our products to the infobox. Could we add acne treatments and mental health counseling as well? Here are some citations:

Once again, I really appreciate your help in fixing our article. LoConnor123 (talk) 15:42, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
- LoConnor123: Note that Forbes Contributors is not considered a reliable source. I'll look into your requests and other sources. MarioGom (talk) 16:51, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
- Done. I didn't add further products to the infobox, since it's not meant to include a full catalog. MarioGom (talk) 18:46, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
- Hi User:MarioGom I really appreciate all of your help. I just had one last request. Hilary Coles is currently listed twice in the infobox, but we were hoping she could be added to the first sentence of the history section so it would read "In 2017, Andrew Dudum founded Hims Inc. with Hilary Coles as part of the Atomic Labs portfolio." Thanks again! LoConnor123 (talk) 13:21, 7 April 2021 (UTC)
- Didn't hear back so I went ahead and made the change. Since it's minor, I'm hoping that isn't a problem LoConnor123 (talk) 18:27, 15 April 2021 (UTC)

Hi this is Linda from Hims & Hers Health. I noticed that someone has added the paid editing tag back to our page and was wondering if there was a way to have it removed since we have requested edits using the appropriate channels. LoConnor123 (talk) 18:33, 29 November 2022 (UTC)
- The article no longer appears to be tagged so I am marking this as addressed. Best, SpencerT•C 22:31, 7 March 2023 (UTC)

Flibanserin
[edit]Looking on the forhers site I don't see any flibanserin products. Additionally, the sources provided don't mention the drug at all. Would it be considered WP:NOR to delete the mention of flibanserin? I5-X600K (talk) 12:53, 20 April 2021 (UTC)
- It's in various sources, listed under its commercial name (Addyi). Apparently they have stopped selling it. See [3]. MarioGom (talk) 16:37, 23 July 2021 (UTC)
Hims & Hers continue to manipulate this page in violation of the terms of service
[edit]There is a warning regarding neutral point of view and a long series of edits above showing that the team at Hims & Hers clearly understand the requirement. Despite that, Hims & Hers continue to delete information citing consumer reviews from a neutral source (the Better Business Bureau) while continuing to add their own company-generated content regarding their brand ambassadors. @I dream of horses:2600:100A:A000:5367:657A:4BAA:83E2:9B4A (talk) 22:22, 14 May 2023 (UTC)
