Death

[edit]

The Plt Off H.B Bell that was killed in active service in 1943 is possible Hugh Bernard Bell of 264 Sqn who died on 22 January 1943, no connection with this Bell. Cant find a CWGC entry for a Hilliard Brooke Bell. MilborneOne (talk) 15:12, 15 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

http://www.theaerodrome.com/aces/canada/bell5.php says Bell died on 16 September 1960. MilborneOne (talk) 15:19, 15 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed, I puzzled over this point. However, I could not find confirmation of the aerodrome's claim in The London Gazette, findagrave.com, nor CWGC. As noted, I did find it in the Flight archives, but Flight doesn't habitually list honorifics, so that did not serve as a tipoff whether I had the correct H. B. Bell. I gave it my best shot, but if I am incorrect, help is always welcome.

No problem some good work here with the ace articles, I think we need some more digging on the fate of Bell. MilborneOne (talk) 17:46, 15 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
