[edit]kari is also in season3 as a teacher to the other digi destins —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 152.163.100.68 (talk • contribs) 20:23, 23 September 2006.
- No.. she's not. The teacher in Tamers is Nami Asanuma (or Nami Asaji) who just happens to bear a resemblance and, probably for this reason, shares the same English voice actress. Shiroi Hane 22:12, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
Spirit Or Hikari?
[edit]OK, I don't want to edit the article before I get a opinion on this... I've watched both seasons of Digimon, and I have to say the current way of explaining Hikari's powers is a huge cop-out by someone. She uses her powers, to a limited degree in Zero Two, actually doing the impossible in that season, and she is sought out PERSONALLY by Myotismon and Dragomon... when, if the article is true, all they'd need to do in that case is find a spirit and capture that to gain the power of a god... Does anyone else think that maybe the article is wrong, and the claim that she just channels some higher being needs changing? Sheng.Long 200X 02:19, 23 November 2006 (GMT)
Although hard to admit, powers of the digimon and digidestined are deus ex machina. I've joked, the power of a digimon is a 3d graph with power against time-since-first-seen and amount-of-screen-time. It is a kid's show after all. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.193.129.99 (talk) 01:55, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
I speculate that the spirit possessing Kari is either the ghost of one of Gennai's deceased colleagues or, most likely, of a deceased member of the Original Digidestined (the group preceding the Digidestined of Adventure/Adventure 02). -- 206.255.16.106 (talk) 06:39, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
Epilogue
[edit]Removing the part from the section regarding the epilogue about the Japanese version saying T.K. married Kari. If proof can be provided, it can be restored. But I don't believe that's fact. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.87.215.139 (talk • contribs) .
- I don't think it's ever said who is married to who other than Ken and Yolei (Inoue). -- Ned Scott 04:15, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
(you forgut Sora and Matt)
- Well, if someone knows how to speak Japanese, they could easily confirm it at this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OuGZQSntJ1g&mode=user&search= -- 70.50.193.52 01:36, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
hey, at the end of the epilogue i could have sworn that i heard T.K. say "and Kari became my wife." It would be surprising if they did not get together tough, after all they did go through alot together. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 65.211.83.82 (talk • contribs).
is it just me, or does Matt's kid look more like T.K. than his father? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.61.26.34 (talk • contribs).
In the Japanese version Tai's son says "Look everyone, it's Uncle T.K!" so clearly, T.K and Kari got married. Plus someone told me that in the Japanese version, gatomon says "Hikari-san, your husband is hear." —The preceding unsigned comment was added by KazeGirl737 (talk • contribs).
- No, he doesn't. Tai's son doesn't say that, Gatomon doesn't say that, no one does. -- Ned Scott 00:35, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
YES THEY DO!!!!!!!!! It was in a youtube video with subtitles but the stupid youtube people deleted it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by KazeGirl737 (talk • contribs).
- I'm sorry, but someone is simply playing a joke on you with such videos. -- Ned Scott 05:39, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
and in the australian kari married davis Darthwin 13:56, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
- The Australian Version is the same as the American Version. Trainra 06:51, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
It was not mentioned in any way that Takeru and Hikari got married. It's just fan speculation. Only Miyako and Ken along with Sora and Yamato were proven to be married in the epilogue. And Taichi's son says nothing like that. Larrylarp (talk) 00:10, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
Age
[edit]Kari is 8 years old because every digimon websites say she is 8 76.112.23.57 22:56, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
relationship section
[edit]i have recently noticed that the Digimon charicters are some of the few charicter biographies lacking a realations section. i feel that these should be added to the articles as this could end some of the epilouge argument occuring here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.62.226.101 (talk) 15:29, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
- Unfortunately such a section would be mostly original research. -- Ned Scott 09:01, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
Page Name
[edit]I've just reverted a rename of this page since it was done
- as a cut-and-paste move over redirect
- without discussion when the page has existed under this name for a couple of years with no complaints.
The reason given was that "Hikari was never found on any US merchandise". I cannot confirm this at the moment - all the characters introduced in the first episode definitely did keep their names, e.g. Taichi "Tai" Kamiya but she wasn't introduced until later and I don't have those episodes on DVD (I do have some old .rm files somewhere..) Shiroi Hane (talk) 17:26, 28 November 2011 (UTC)
- Oops, pardon for my mistake! My reason for this is that there has never been an instance where evidence points to "Hikari" being kept in the dub. She was NOT given one of those introductory screens in any of the episodes, and all US merchandise thus far refers to her as simply "Kari Kamiya." Even her own trading card simply states "Kari Kamiya" (I'll go find a scan of it). If anyone can find any official US licensed merchandise stating her name was ever kept as "Hikari", then I can be silenced. lullabying (talk) 23:29, 28 November 2011 (UTC)
- Since a page exists at the target a move needs to be requested to preserve the page history. I'll try to remember to look through what I have tonight, although most of my literature is Japanese. I don't know if anyone from the old Digimon wikiproject is still active and watching this page so if we get no-one else weighing in here I'll request input at WT:ANIME. Shiroi Hane (talk) 13:07, 29 November 2011 (UTC)
- The only book which gives anything other than just her first name just gives it as "Kari Kamiya" - and that's the Official Game Guide (the Official Character Guide just calls her Kari, while giving full names for everyone else). Shiroi Hane (talk) 00:47, 30 November 2011 (UTC)
