Accreditation

[edit]

Recently some of these sentences were removed from the Highland View Academy article.

Highland View Academy is a private co-educational secondary boarding school located in Hagerstown, Maryland in the United States, and run by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Highland View Academy is not accredited by any accreditation body recognized by its country. According to the US Department of Education, unaccredited degrees and credits might not be acceptable to employers or other institutions.[1]

Highland View is run by the SDA church. This means that Highland View must undergo a Seventh-day Adventist accreditation process which is quite rigorous. Are the above sentences correct that Highland View Academy has no accreditation outside of the purview of the SDA Church? DonaldRichardSands (talk) 10:54, 2 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
