Page blanked
[edit] – This section header was added during refactoring at 16:18, 18 October 2018 (UTC).
Hello. Why do you blank the page after I add work to it? 400 Lux (talk) 23:31, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
- Please try to understand what topics are appropriate for an encyclopedia. Wikipedia is not a dictionary and it is not a glossary of slang usage and is not a directory. older ≠ wiser 23:36, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
- But the usage is notable, no? 400 Lux (talk) 23:52, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
- How is it Notable? older ≠ wiser 01:23, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
- I believe the wide usage may bring the topic across the line. But is it you alone who decides? The rules say I can't place he content. I looked at the page history and you have removed the content 2 times. If I start working on the article again, I would have added the content a 3rd time; they can remove my editing privileges. I am unsure how to proceed. 400 Lux (talk) 21:45, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
- If it is permissible, I would like to continue to work this article. Do you continue objection on notability? 400 Lux (talk) 00:26, 15 February 2016 (UTC)
- If you're going to, I'd strongly suggest working on it in a sandbox, and being prepared for a high likelihood of your work being deleted when you do take it live. Wikipedia isn't a dictionary, and while we do have a very few articles on individual words, they're instances where the word itself is the subject of non-trivial discussion in multiple, independent, reliable sources, which is unlikely to be the case here. If you want Wikipedia to have an article on any given topic, the onus is on you to demonstrate that independent sources consider that topic significant. ‑ Iridescent 00:38, 15 February 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you all for the information. I am going to work in existing articles until I get the hang of things a bit better than I do now. 400 Lux (talk) 00:43, 15 February 2016 (UTC)
