Suggestion

[edit]

It might be a good idea to at least get some redirect pages, I almost didn't find this article. "Kimen-gumi" is one of the least common ways to spell the name of this series-I mostly see High School! Kimengumi and Highschool! Kimengumi around (I am pretty sure the author's official romanization is High School! Kimengumi). Also, I'm wondering if the translated episode title names are even a good idea, since there is no official English version at the present time. Maybe you should also touch on the heavily edited French version, Le College Fou Fou Fou? Kimengumi has a large fanbase in France. 24.17.95.227, 31 October 2005

Redirect pages have been added. --nihon 09:06, 1 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Episode list under construction

[edit]

Please note that this list is still heavily under construction, so I apologize for the mess. I'm translating from the Japanese article as I have the time. :-) --nihon 04:59, 20 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Stuff that still needs doing

[edit]
  • Information on the two video games based on this series (one for Sega Mark III, the other for Sony Playstation), perhaps?
  • A mention of the theme songs which were performed by Ushirogami Hikaretai, Ushiroyubi Sasaregumi, and Musukko Club
  • Forgot to mention, some information on the movie would be a good idea as well. I'd add it, but I'm not even sure of the full title or when in the series it takes place chronologically. Added a small voice actor list, but couldn't find Go's voice actor.

I started crediting the songs, but am not sure on all of them which were done by Ushiroyubi Sasaregumi and which were by Ushirogami Hikaretai.Alcy 06:31, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I just noticed the redirect from Musukko Club to Onyanko Club. While I do not know much about Musukko Club, I am certain they were not members or former members of Onyanko Club - it was an all-male group, whereas Onyanko Club was all-female. Judging by the names, I wouldn't be surprised if their producers were the same, though. I have removed this redirect. Alcy 03:51, 28 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oops. My bad. That's what I get for editing when I'm tired. (^_^; --日本穣 17:20, 28 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

チャップン (chappun)

[edit]

Anyone know what this word means? I've never heard it before, and it's not in any dictionaries as far as I can tell. --nihon 22:32, 21 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Here's the episode title it's from:
Class Opposition: The Lively Chappun Swim Meet
クラス対抗 ピチピチチャップン水泳大会
(Kurasu Taikou Pichi Pichi Chappun Suiei Taikai)
Looks like it's giseigo for the "splash" sound (like the one made when you toss a small rock into a lake) --nihon 03:30, 22 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Mildly off-topic, but I think maybe you guys might know...

[edit]

I was wondering if maybe you guys knew anything about a series called Tsuideni Tonchinkan. It was out around the same time as Kimengumi and had a bunch of Ushirogami Hikaretai opening themes as well (I think one of them was also a Kimengumi opening), and was also a comedy. Unfortunately, I can't find any information on it, but am curious, and was wondering that if you were familiar with it, if you could please add it to Wikipedia. Alcy 22:21, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Done. --nihon 01:07, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

I think that the logo is a good picture to be used at the top of the article instead of in the character section, preferrably in an animanga infobox. Would this wreck the format of the page? - Squilibob 00:51, 15 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That logo is only used in the anime, so that's why it's at the top of the anime section. The manga logo is a little bit different. --nihon 00:55, 15 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Update: The logo is now used at the top of the List of Highschool! Kimen-gumi episodes article, which I'm slowly working toward Featured List status (going by the List of Fullmetal Alchemist episodes discussion). I'd like to get this article there, too, though it will take me a bit to create pages for all the redlinks on the page. I think both have a decent chance once all the redlinks are gone and a little more is filled in on the episode list (dates and summaries, mostly). I welcome any help. Another video game!

Looks like a game was released for the MSX2 as well. The label looks like the menu from the Mark III game, though. I wonder if it's a port? Let's try to find information on this.Alcy 16:29, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

After many months of work, and the creation of many, many articles, all the redlinks have been cleared from this page. They're all blue now. \(^_^)/ \(^_^)/ \(^_^)/ ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 04:20, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
