[ahjulsta]: The article uses wordings like "extremely slow" and "very tedious", about "most stand-alone .. players". Perhaps a moderate wording would be better, but I am no expert.

"Microsoft has discontinued development on the HighMAT technology."

Leaving us with a Windows Movie Maker that can only burn CDs in HighMAT format, and no standalone players that support it. Way to go, Microsoft! 201.212.44.26 20:44, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestions

[edit]

I don't know enough to do it, but I wonder whether someone knowledgeable enough could add some time information (when developed? when orphaned by Microsoft?) to the article? 76.197.146.153 20:25, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed... I came to this page to recall details of HighMAT after fixing up some of my old Windows XP machine, and I was curious if my Panasonic DVD player supports it. This page shouldn't be deleted, if anything, more info on what it was (technically, as well as its marketing intent) should be available. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.233.52.215 (talk) 03:27, 3 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
