New lines in consideration
[edit]Why would a Shinkansen derivate help competing the ships for freight traffic for speed? It is a passenger train and for beating the speed of ships well operated and maintained regular freight trains should be quite sufficient.--Bk1 168 (talk) 18:46, 5 February 2012 (UTC)
1,829 mm
[edit]Is there any evidence for the unusual gauge of 1,829 mm to be used for the connection to Alaska, which is highly unlikely anyway? Unless there is very strong evidence, I would really cut this out, because this is so far from being realistic and the gauge issue is not really seriously relevant at this time.--Bk1 168 (talk) 19:22, 8 February 2018 (UTC)
