"Menu-bar copy-thingey"?

[edit]

"menu-bar copy-thingey" Is hardly proper English — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.111.161.110 (talkcontribs) 01:31, 28 December 2006‎ (UTC)[reply]

It's not in the article any more. Guy Harris (talk) 16:17, 19 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Stubs?

[edit]

How is this a "Microsoft Windows-compatible program article"? It's not exclusive to any program. Tetrahedron93 (talk) 11:18, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's no longer marked as any sort of stub. Guy Harris (talk) 16:18, 19 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Mac OS

[edit]

now im not going to rant, but Mac OS (also known as annoyingly simple OS) makes it extremely hard to show hidden files in finder, though they can be accessed by other means (ie: terminal). should this be added? Ms.henrick (talk) 19:18, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Windows versus UNIX

[edit]

Well, I am going to rant. It is beneath pathetic that when one posts rigidly correct material, mocking paraprofessional Windows paradigms and praising the alternative UNIX solutions, some fool—who, no doubt, has no exposure to other than the Windows model of "computer science" (if you can indeed call it that)—edits its out. "A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid," wrote the Master in Matthew 5, and editing out these completely valid, thoughtfully argued corrigenda merely underscores the petulance of the Windows world. No wonder Windows "programmers" earn fifty percent less than their UNIX counterparts!
