Giving a heads-up regarding recent updates at Herr Christ, der einig Gotts Sohn. Maybe still wait a little until dust has settled there, and then, if needed, avoid content forking regarding the hymn.

Specific regarding this cantata is that Bach may have known the hymn from the Neu Leipziger Gesangbuch, where it is attributed to Knöpken: so, who wrote the hymn may be less relevant to this article (possibly not part of the context available to Bach at the time when he wrote the cantata). --Francis Schonken (talk) 13:03, 26 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
