In response to proposal of deletion:

[edit]

This is absolutely ridiculous. There are numerous articles about this company, which is extremely popular among Linux users, enough to qualify as mainstream. I was shocked that there wasn't a page for this company. 2 articles were cited within the page. It's also completely untrue that this article is unreferenced. The Cinelerra page references this company, and I am sure there are others. I will find more if needed. Crh0872 (talk) 01:38, 18 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You shouldn't take any offense to a proposed deletion. If you feel that it does not meet the criteria, remove the template as it indicates and establish notability from reliable published sources. That is your right. Popularity does not automatically signify notability - you should keep that in mind. Secondly, your references are improperly formatted, so users cannot access or check them. Lastly, the wording of the article indicates obscure anonymity, which suggests the company remains under the radar and thus not covered by established sources. If this is untrue, please improve as you see fit. Cheers mate. Wisdom89 (T / C) 09:05, 18 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I fixed the references. It's now obvious that there are fairly reliable sources documenting this anonymous company. The template is removed. I never meant to imply that popularity meant notability. Crh0872 (talk) 16:59, 18 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
