I don't think this article is correct about the ending of Marlowe's version. My text indicated that Leander made it across the Hellespont and then made it with Hero, and then the poem ends, but I'm not really willing to slog through the early modern english again to find out. Anyone?

Homoerotic content?
[edit]In its current state, there is no mention of the scene where Leander is almost raped by a lusty Neptune -- which is surprisingly homoerotic, & often included in the evidence of Marlowe's own sexual orientation. (And considering there is practically no explicit heterosexually-oriented content in Marlowe's writings -- as opposed to Shakespeare's ribaldry -- this makes it conceivable that he did like the men.) -- llywrch (talk) 18:06, 11 April 2012 (UTC)
