Battle of the Bands Clix?
From the website (emphasis mine): "Battle of the Bands Clix: We got Iron Maiden how about – Bon Jovi, Cinderella, Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Poison, Guns n’ Roses, Skid Row, Great White, KISS, Whitesnake, Quiet Riot, Telsa, Van Halen, Dokken, Scorpions, Ratt, Warrant, W.A.S.P. If you are still reading my wall of text, you’ll know this is a joke!"
I take that to mean that there WON'T be Battle of the Bands Clix but the article lists them as forthcoming. If someone has information that I don't then there needs to be a reference. Otherwise the entry needs to be deleted but I'll wait a couple of days to make sure. --Kitsunegami (talk) 03:59, 24 November 2010 (UTC)
- After some research, I found out that the Iron Maiden HeroClix are apparently legit so I'll add a reference to the article. --Kitsunegami (talk) 07:18, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
Setlists
Steadfast I'm putting up the lists for the various Heroclix sets. If someone can help me setting up the links to the characters with those lists, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.
I moved your sections on the first 3 sets, and put them under the Clobberin' Time, Infinity Challenge, and Hypertime (all (heroclix) ) sets. The links for products will go their. All I did was copy/paste what was there. Oh. And I split the sets up by Marvel, DC, and Indy.--Kozmik Pariah 09:15, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
I updated the dates for the retirement following the release of Sinister, updated the figures in some of the collector's sets, and created a separate section for Starter Sets since the last three contain unique figures that cannot be found in Boosters. I moved City Of Villians to Collector's Sets since it is not a true expansion set. I'd like to change the Convention Exclusive section to an Exlusive Figures section and add figures such as Phoenix (which is a different figure than Dark Phoenix)--First Lensman 02:00pm, 03 July 2006 (EST)
I refined the Convention Exclusive section to include links to the Wiz Kids site for each of the figures. I added a Large Figures section that also includes links to the Wiz Kids site. Updated the Supernova page to include more of the confirmed characters. Added links for any character mentioned in the Convention Exclusive or Large Figures sections (see Additional Work section below). Updated the Days Of Future Past entry with information from an interview with Seth Johnson. --First Lensman 12:34am, 23 July 2006 (EST)
Someone put sites up from France. I decided to move them to a separate entry called "International Web Sites" and renamed the links group "HeroClix Web Sites". After further reviewing the sites from France I removed the one for clixhunter.com because it was an on-line store's site. I've refrained from including on-line stores in these links sections since there are too many of them -- they would in the end clutter up this Wiki page. --First Lensman 5:21pm, 11 August 2006 (EST)
I've updated the Supernova Page and created a page for the Origin expansion set to be released in February 2007. --First Lensman 11:41am, 24 September 2006 (EST)
I'm not sure if there should be a Heroclix subcategory. There are a fair number of articles about them and it might less confusing for readers. I'm still new enough though that I'd prefer feedback before I go ahead and reorganize things though. Thanks. --Shimaspawn 05:46, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
- Do you mean create a subcategory called HeroClix Expansion Sets? --First Lensman 12:20pm, 18 October 2006 (EST)
- That might be a good move. They take up a fair bit of space in their category as is and it would be easier to browse through that way. Shimaspawn 16:48, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
Added information regarding the Indy B.P.R.D. Action Set. Also, I've already updated the Supernova page with new information gleaned from an InQuest article. --First Lensman 12:19am, 18 October 2006 (EST)
I've changed the Upcoming Marvel set from Monsters and Mutants, to it's real name of "Mutations and Monsters". --Aaron Twist 12:06, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
Requested Moves
HeroClix is the name of the game. Anywho, you can vote to move it to a page called that, which is currently pretty much bare. so here goes.

Deleting Sections?
Steadfast Why did someone take out the list of Convention Exclusive Figures?
Steadfast I would like to know why someone deleted several sectiosn from this page? What was that done for?
First Lensman Why does someone keep deleting the Supernova page (and redirecting it to the Wiz Kids page in Wikipedia) without posting anything in the HeroCLix discussion? This has got to stop!
Theme Sets?
I'm confused as to what convinced the author that Armor Wars was the first in a trend of theme-based sets? Armor Wars is about as percentage thematic as the second DC set, Cosmic Justice, which introduced the Green Lantern, their predecessors the Manhunters, the Martian Manhunter, Starfire, Fatality, the three founders of the Legion of Super-Heroes, and an alternate version of Superman raised by Darkseid to the game. Conversely, the set which came out immediately after Armor Wars, Collateral Damage, seemed to have a theme mostly in that it continued the trend towards figure sculpts with extra stuff in them and not in its character selection. If this is a reference to some press release from Wizkids, maybe that could be cited in the article.
Free Comic Book Day
Should we include info on the HeroClix figures given away with the annual Free Comic Book Day? This year they gave away free Wolverine figures, at least two visual variations - one in a black shirt, the other in a white shirt. The white shirt has "I (heart) HeroClix" on the back. The black shirt has "Wiz Kids" on the back. Previous FCBD featured Incredible Hulk and Batman pieces.
Yes, I think someone should add that in. -Edude —Preceding unsigned comment added by Edude7 (talk • contribs) 17:12, 22 February 2010 (UTC)

We are under attack
The expansion set pages have been targeted for deletion by an unscrupulous editor. This editor has the gall to label the expansion set pages as advertising. Even though he himself has a wikiproject that is nothing more than advertising for television stations around the country -- including links to these stations!!! I have filed an arbitration regarding his tampering with the HeroClix pages. Firstlensman 14:05, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
- First of all, I take personal offense at your description of me as "unscupulous." I would ask that you assume good faith and discuss the matter with me to find my rationale and motivation for my actions as opposed to immediately attacking me and my integrity.
- Secondly -- the WikiProject you refer to (WikiProject:TV Stations), is a well-established WikiProject that catalogues the history and development of the television industry in North America. It is not, as you have put it, advertising for television stations.
- Thirdly -- unless your arbitration has been filed under a third party, I have not been able to locate any notation of such. I am more than happy to discuss the matter in arbitration, mediation or in direct talks, once someone has broached the subject. It is difficult to hold a conversation with someone prior to their indicating that such a desire exists.
- Fourth -- you have established a CfD for the television stations WikiProject, which appears (at least on the surface) to be a violation of WP:POINT. You have not asked to discuss this with anyone (including the target of your ire as indicated above -- me), yet you have presumed to attack that WikiProject out of hand.
- Finally -- my reasoning for nominating the listing articles for deletion is that they are simply a list of the individual toys, nothing else. There is no additional categorization, no additional historical or descriptive information, simply the list of action figures. That, in and of itself, is a direct violation of WP:NOT. If, after a discussion within the bounds of the AfD, they are deemed appropriate to stay on Wikipedia, then I will happily leave them alone. I would suggest (both now and in the future) that additional information on those pages may help alleviate the concerns that I have.
- I am not "picking" on the Heroclix category in and of itself. I try to address all such issues as they come to my attention. I have been on both sides of such disputes, and anticipate being on both sides in the future. But rather than making personal attacks and character assassinations, I would suggest that a bit of conversation would go a long way toward alleviating such disputes you may have in the future. --Mhking 16:05, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
First of all, you targeted these pages for deletion without trying to discuss this with anyone involved on the page. So all the rules you stated that I should follow above, you did not even follow yourself. If you had at least looked at the discussion threads, you would have found that we had more information regarding the sets, but were then targeted for deletion for having too many links (in order to cross-reference the figures with the comic counterparts). The information provided would help someone understand the game, the sets and the characters. However, as per the suggestions by other editors, the pages were paired down to the lists.
Rather than submitting a CfD for a topic which you have no interest in, you should have discussed it first on the Main Page's (HeroClix) discussion page. I see NO entry there. This step IS the first to be taken PRIOR to putting up a CfD. As an editor, you could have made suggestions for making the pages better and bring them up to the standard that wikipedia is striving to achieve for their readership. Most of these pages go back FIVE (5) years without a CfD.
Also, we are not daily editors on wikipedia. When I get new information, I post it to wikipedia. Therefore, it was most important that you did post to the dicussion thread FIRST. First Lensman 22:21, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
Hi, I am new to contributing to Wikipedia, and I got involved specificly because I saw the way Magic: The Gathering expansions were archived and I wanted to do something similair to that for heroclix, with summaries of each set, which figures were notable in tournement play, which sets added new rules and mechanics and such. Would anyone be intrested in assisting me? Sensualninja (talk) 04:16, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Too many lists?
Is it really encyclopaedic to list every single figure? If we have it for one set, then we'd have to do it for all of them, then we'd have a huge article which is 90% lists. Personally, I think it would be preferable to have, rather than the lists, a referenced section mentioning some of the stand-out ones- the most sought-after, the most powerful etc... that's possible, surely? MorganaFiolett 13:16, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
- No, it's not encyclopedic, and even if we decide to include every list, they should be broken out into their own articles rather than all being added to this one article. Thanks for bringing this up. Rray 20:45, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
- I'm glad you agree. I have reverted it back to the pre-lists version; there was some very useful information that had been removed (for example, that the City of Villains/City of Heroes figures were only available through purchase of the Deluxe edition of City of Villains or through tournaments). I hope, sincerely, that the people who were making those edits will read this discussion because they have obviously got the time and the will to make some useful edits, I'd just like to see them discuss major changes like this and do them properly. There's nothing more terrifying than seeing over fifty edits in one day on an article! If the different sets are to have content (which I would like to see, personally, just not in the form of full on OMG lists) then their names should only be made into headers when there's content ready to go in there. MorganaFiolett 23:12, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
- I'll try to help you keep an eye on the article. Good edit! :) Rray 00:38, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

Formtting etc.

CITY OF HEROES
THERE WERE LIMITED HERO CLIXS BASED ON THE CITY OF HEROES VIDEO GAME. I APOLOGIZE IF THIS IS NOT FORMATTED CORRECTLY — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.213.55.1 (talk) 20:57, 5 May 2016 (UTC)
