Blue Ribbon Award
[edit]The school to together did not get the blue ribbon award. I go to the school and it is for the music deporment.
this is finally correct and informative
- I can see that you're trying, and I respect that. Here's what this page needs:
- Specific reasons that this school is special or unusual- what makes it different than other high schools?
- Links to sources- newspapers, magazine articles, books- that have written about what makes this school special or unusual. -FisherQueen (Talk) 18:06, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
I don't see any reason to delete the article, given that many high schools have wikipedia pages; this one is simply clumsily made and lacks a lot of information. Obviously, the school offers more than the few classes listed at the beginning, and the sections involving the Humanities Center should be merged. Also, perhaps modeling this article after another high school's page might be beneficial. 151.199.193.13 14:29, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Panther2.gif
[edit]Image:Panther2.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

References
[edit]The current page has Troy Patterson listed as a famous person who went to Hermitage High School. The page also requests a citation verifying this fact. I was in the same graduating class with Troy at Hermitage, but I assume there is no way to markup/cite a person's word as a way of verifying a statement on Mediawiki, is there? I've currently tried to look for something on the web that states that Troy went to Hermitage, but couldn't find anything. He currently works as a TV critic for slate.com but there is no biography information on that site that explicitly links Troy as a graduate of Hermitage. Is there any other way to cite this information? --Lasloo (talk) 17:54, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
- Nope. You need some type of reliable source that can be verifiable. Ophois (talk) 21:06, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
blue ribbon award
[edit]i can find no evidence that hermitage ever recieved the nclb blue ribbon award linked in the article. it appears that the school got a blue ribbon award from the [virginia music educators association] in 2002. i'm going to remove the misleading and unsourced sentence; if someone can clarify and verify precisely what blue ribbon the school was awarded and when, then feel free to add that information. pauli133 (talk) 17:34, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
Lists of names
[edit]Lists of names in this article should be sourced in accordance with WP:BLP. As there is no way of constantly maintaining linked articles, this applies to names which have a Wikipedia article as well as those that do not. Any name listed with no verifiable citations should be removed. Refer to WP:NLIST for guidance. Fæ (talk) 05:22, 10 October 2010 (UTC)
Propose Redirect to District Page
[edit]Due to the lack of citations for this school, and per WP:N, I believe that this page should be redirected toward the main district page. Middle and High schools aren't generally notable and of importance to be written an individual article on. ► Wireless Keyboard ◄ 19:13, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
Neutrality
[edit]The introduction to this page reads to me like it was either copied from a website promoting the school, or written by someone promoting the school. Ben Kenobi151 (talk) 05:07, 6 August 2011 (UTC)
