"Hermeric swore fealty to the emperor in 410"
[edit]There were at least six competing emperors in the western empire in that year -- which one did Hermeric support? —Abou 02:30, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
- Now fixed. Srnec 01:56, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
Dates
[edit]There is a mathematical inconsistency between the dates cited and the duration of reign in the first paragraph "from 409 or 419 until 438." and "given a reign of thirty two years in most manuscripts "
- Clarified in a note, but realise now that this means that all events pre-419 are connected to Hermeric not by the best primary source, but by Isidore or subsequent historians. Srnec 02:41, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
Magnus Maximus
[edit]Magnus Maximus was emperor in the 4th century, he died in 388. I think the artikel must be fit at this point. It cannot be right. --Anneboer (talk) 12:34, 14 November 2009 (UTC)
It could be an error for a different usurper, Constantine III. EustacetheTerrible (talk) 20:50, 9 February 2017 (UTC)EustacetheTerrible
