Abs's role in 1953 and other years 1947-1957
[edit]The New York Times for July 8, 2015, has an article, "Germans Forget Postwar History Lesson on Debt Relief in Greece Crisis." The article's photo is captioned, "In 1953, German leaders cut their foreign debts." The article's text describes the photo: "It shows Hermann Josef Abs, head of the Federal Republic of Germany's delegation in London on Feb. 27, 1953, signing the agreement that effectively cut the country's debts to its foreign creditors in half."
I was hoping that Wikipedia might describe this agreement. There is a little information on it here, which I found from the Other Sources part of the article. Oaklandguy (talk) 00:37, 10 July 2015 (UTC)
